Dear Amity Families,
The Amity Talent Show is this week! Please see the information below for our after school production day and time. While Parker’s might have a few years on us, we still put on a show that will make you smile!
I always enjoy watching the different acts and seeing the talents that our students hide from us on a daily basis. For some of our students, its like they are superheroes in disguise when they are in our classrooms. You would never guess that they would be willing to go on stage in front of everybody to share their talent. But they do, and that stage and audience causes them to unleash their super-power talent for all to see! I love the excitement and smiles that the students give when they finish their acts. It's priceless!

Amity Talent Show- Wednesday March 29th
With March 30th switching to a ½ day, the Amity Talent show will now be held on Wednesday, March 29th at 5:30 in the Amity gym. This is a great night at Amity that showcases the many talents that our students possess! You won't want to miss out on this fun!
Spring Break
Just a friendly reminder that there will be no school from April 3rd-April 7th for Spring Break.
Fine Arts Night
Fine Arts Night is back and you don't want to miss it this year. Wild about Amity Art Show 2023 will feature over 70 different kinds of animals throughout each of the exhibits. Some of our exhibits include animals from Africa, Wings of the World, the Tropical Rainforest and many more. Doors open at 6 with a themed craft and a photobooth at the main entrance. As you embark on the first exhibit, you can grab a scavenger hunt to complete as you find your 1-2 featured artworks. At the end of exhibits, you will be greeted in the cafeteria with some friendly animals from Cool Critters Outreach. Our experts will teach you about their animals they brought and you may even get to interact with some of them. So wear your favorite animal prints and join us on Thursday, April 20th from 6-7:30PM.
Lost and Found
Please have your child check the lost and found for any items they might be missing. We will be donating unclaimed items to Sandy’s Closet during spring break.

Heading into spring break we are hosting a spirit week. Here are the themes for each day.

PTO Garage Sale
8th Grade Flower Sale
Deer Park Jr./Sr. High School 7th graders have begun fundraising for their 8th grade Washington D.C. trip next year! Below, is a link to purchase spring flowers and plants from Foertmeyer & Sons Greenhouse. Each purchase made will help support students in offsetting the cost of the overnight field trip!
To purchase, use the link below. All plants/flowers can be picked up on Sunday, April 23 between 1-3 p.m. or can be held for a later pickup date if necessary. Contact Katie Estep at estep.k@dpccsd.org for to reschedule a pickup!

Ohio State Test Dates
We are a month out from the Spring Ohio State Tests that are taken in grades 3-6. While it is still almost a month away, I want to get dates your way for family scheduling purposes. More details will come in regards to preparation as we get closer.

Check out this opportunity for FREE academic enrichment for students entering grades 3- 8 in Math, science, language arts, or social studies. The programming is provided virtually through Bowling Green State University by undergraduate and graduate students as part of their educational program. See this website link for more information.
